Revision history
for AI Services Directory: Chat, Code, Images, Video & Deep Research
- full refresh
Corrected two factual errors and filled the gaps that had opened since August. All 53 links verified to resolve.
- Removed Sora — OpenAI notified developers on 2026-03-24, closed the app and web experience on 2026-04-26, and removed the Sora 2 API on 2026-09-24. It had been listed as a live paid service.
- Corrected the Google tier naming — “Gemini Advanced via a Google One AI subscription” is retired; it is now Google AI Plus / Pro / Ultra.
- Corrected Bing Image Creator — it now runs Microsoft’s own MAI-Image models, with OpenAI’s still selectable. It was described as purely DALL·E-powered.
- Moved Claude to the free list as well as paid, fixing an inconsistency in a directory organised around free vs. paid.
- Replaced “DALL·E (via ChatGPT)” with ChatGPT Images, noting the GPT Image line superseded it.
- Added to Text: Grok, Le Chat, Qwen Chat, Kimi, Z.ai Chat.
- Added to Coding: OpenCode, OpenClaw, Codex, Antigravity, Gemini CLI, Jules — and split the section into free/open-source vs. paid, since the open agents no longer fit a “free tier” framing.
- Added to Images: Krea, Recraft, FLUX, Higgsfield, Gemini.
- Added to Video: Veo (via Flow), Seedance, Hailuo, Dreamina.
- Added to Research: NotebookLM.
- New “Recently discontinued” section, so services that shut down teach the reader something instead of silently vanishing.

Initial directory — Text, Programming, Pictures, Video, Deep Investigations and Aggregators, each split free-first then paid.
Revision tracking was added to this site on 2026-10-05. Entries dated before then were reconstructed from the repository's commit history and deployment logs, so they record what changed but not necessarily every intermediate edit.
